Today I explored a few new ideas, thinking of my design as a building that has a number of prescribed shapes that move and fit together to form one large self sufficient community.
In the tutorial I continued development of my scenario for this particular idea.
The year is 2050 and the people of Brisbane have emerged from a long recession. Community values have shifted and as a result major cultural changes have occurred.
Individualism is an outdated paradigm, with society returning to fundamental ideals and embracing a more humble and modest lifestyle.
‘Tetritecture’ is the first of these emergent communities. It aims to create a living arrangement based on the four basic life needs of love, nourishment, shelter and general health and wellbeing. Together these fuse the communities defining qualities and provide a physical setting in which collaborative interaction leads to a flourishing culture of prosperity and generosity.
The site offers potential in each of these areas, ultimately creating a sustainable and balanced lifestyle for the people within.

I like the idea and the concept behind it but Im just unsure as to how I could make this work and if it would even be viable within the next 10-20 years. Maybe this is a prospect left for a scenario for the year 2080 and beyond.
