The sketch is an exploration of 'roots living'. It depicts all four categories that have been identified as crucial to living in Brisbane 2050. Looking at the way people have lived in the past is very important for this project. The following post will identify a few of the things that have been important to people in the past that will again become underpinning factors of life in this future scenario.
The short clip below really gives an idea into what I'm trying tot achieve with this project. The simplistic approach to design that recognises the values of the site and a response that is epcific to both its conditions and needs of the user.
Jun speaks about the soil being a base from which 'plants' can grow. The soil chooses the seeds that can grow and survive within its conditions. This is what I aim to achieve in my design, a 'plant' that can grow and thrive in the Paddington Central site.
