This week I have been working on another subject called Professional practice. My tasks before our presentation this coming monday was to set up an integrated social networking/ sharing space.

I think the use of this technology is crucial for businesses heading into a future where social media keeps us constantly connected. I have attached some images showing the capabilities of these applications, I found this process really interesting and I think it was a great task for me to gain some knowledge on what is and will continue to be a very large part of owning a business and promoting its services.

The interface between the apps and the device also really interested me. The way the application developer designs the program to be used within a tactile device is quite amazing. I will continue to look at this relationship this week.

Of course I started with the most obvious and simple of the social media programs...FACEBOOK!

I decided that the best way to set up this social 'web', was to use Facebook as the 'mortar' for the bricks that would ultimately be the other sources of information sharing.

Facebooks new timeline has made it possible to ad interactive tiles to your page so that other applications can be directly linked to your business page, including Instagram, Linkdin, Pinterest and Twitter just to name a few.

The image below show the process of creating these profiles and setting up these outlets.

These tools are simple pieces of technology that have become available to almost everyone. I think they will continue to become more prevalent in the future. However because my concept is based around a return to a less materialistic lifestyle I think this brings to light an interesting problem, How will technology fit into my future?

In my future Scenario people no longer measure their success by the material items that they possess, instead they measure their success through their happiness, health and wellbeing. When technology is added to the equation I think it becomes a question of how the community can work together with technology. The answer is creating spaces that merely 'house' the technology so people can use it together. No longer do people need to have their own computers, phones and tv's. Instead that share the resources, allowing for a greater advancement in technology and production due to the money saved on obtaining personal devices.

The Co-creation space does just this. This space houses the technologies needed to create, build, design and communicate. In the coming weeks and more importantly in the next assignment where I will be designing these spaces, more will be discussed about this space.

This is an interesting example of what I envisage the co-creation centre to look, feel and act like.
